Collaboration with ESADE
Within the framework of the MSc in Digital Business organised by one of the leading business schools in Europe, ESADE, our company is one of the companies collaborating in the development of the Digital Lab, where students aged between 20 and 25 years old from more than 22 countries have 3 days to solve a problem or “challenge” set by a real company.
Students must use the Design Sprint method, created by Jake Knapp at Google, integrating components of Design Thinking, Agile and Business Model Canvas to maximise their learning experience and guarantee good results. In short, it is a method that guides creativity to transform it into a real project, using innovation methods and digital technology.
After 36 hours working together, applying this method based on research, planning, declension of ideas, generation of activities and checking for validation, the team has managed to create various prototypes that aim to resolve the challenge proposed by AKO. A challenge centred on cold chain monitoring (remote management and control), using solutions generated with IOT technology, creating a digital network.
It was a pleasure to share experiences and learning with people who are starting out in their professional career and to be able to transmit the impact the cold chain has on our company (the fight against waste, CO2 reduction, sustainability, efficiency in installations, etc.)
At AKO Group we are very grateful to ESADE and specifically @Oriol Rius, consultant, mentor, trainer and speaker | Industry 4.0 | Industrial IoT, Xavier Busquets, Academic Director of the MSc in Digital Business, and Rodolfo Lomascolo, CEO, Co-founder of Pervasive Technologies, Teacher of the Executive Masters in Advanced Analytics & Data Science UIC and Postgraduate Teacher in Soft Testing at UPC, for giving us this great opportunity. We are very satisfied with the work carried out by the students, whose output was very interesting and realistic.
